Lima, Apr 13 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla arrived in Peru to attend the 8th Summit of the Americas, whose segment of heads of State and Government begins here today.
Rodríguez is the highest-ranking Cuban representative present in Lima for the hemispheric meeting that will meet with a limited attendance of leaders and will address democratic governance against corruption as a central issue.
Cuban diplomatic sources in this capital told Prensa Latina that the Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, will be at the meeting with the foreign minister; and the vice-foreign representatives Rogelio Sierra and Ana Teresita González.
The Cuban delegation also includes the ambassador in Lima, Sergio González, stated the sources, while at the same time they announced that the delegation will intervene in the round of speeches tomorrow.
This is the second time a Cuban governmental delegation participates in this type of summits since President Raul Castro was in the previous meeting held in Panama, in 2015.
