Havana, Mar 11 (Prensa Latina) Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez sent on Monday fraternal wishes and congratulations to the Muslims of his country and the world for the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.

On his X profile, Rodríguez sent his best wishes for peace and prosperity.

Ramadan is the name of the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, during which Muslims must abstain from eating, drinking, smoking, or sexual relations from sunrise to sunset.

This year, the festivity began on Sunday, March 10, and will last until April 9.

During Ramadan, Muslims aim to grow spiritually and build stronger relationships with Allah.

They pray and recite the Quran, make their actions intentional and selfless, and abstain from lying and fighting.
