Cuban FM welcomes meeting of Cuban residents in Latin America

Havana, Jun 16 (Prensa Latina) Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez welcomed to hold the Sixth Regional Meeting of Cuban Residents in Latin America and the Caribbean in Venezuela on Friday.

On his Twitter account, the foreign minister stressed that the event aims to strengthen relations between the Caribbean nation and its compatriots abroad.

Under the slogan “Building Bridges for Growth,” the delegates will discuss for two days the actions taken in the last two years in defense of Cuba, its sovereignty, and the tightening of the US siege in the current circumstances.

They will also reflect on Cuba’s presence in social and mass media, the dissemination of its history, and cultural values.

Cuban residents in Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia, Nicaragua, Mexico, Guatemala, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, Panama, Dominican Republic, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Bolivia, Argentina, Jamaica, Haiti, and Ecuador attend the meeting.

The forum includes a final declaration and an action plan as a reference for the work of the region’s associations until 2025.
