Cuban Deputies Conclude Debates in Parliament Commissions

Havana, Dec 20 (Prensa Latina) Cuban deputies today conclude the analysis in the 10 working commissions prior to the Tenth Regular Session of the eighth legislature of the National Assembly of People”s Power (Parliament).

The groups evaluate diverse topics, including the fulfillment of the goals proposed for the period 2013-2018.

Prior to the day of the meeting, scheduled for December 21 at the Havana Convention Center, the deputies exchanged in the commissions of Education, Culture, Science, Technology and Environment.

In the Service Attention Commission; Agro-food; Attention to the Youth, the Childhood and the Equality of Rights of the Woman.

As well as in the Constitutional and Legal Affairs; Economic Affairs; Industry and Construction; International Relations; Health and Sports, and National Defense.

The day before, the Economic Affairs Committee (CAE) evaluated the preliminary estimates of the execution of the State Budget 2017 and the projections for the coming year, in a context of austerity and rationality.

It was also known that Cuba maintained its current trend in the dynamics of economic growth in 2017, despite the impact of the US blockade and additional tensions due to material, financial and climatological factors.

Meanwhile, the deputies gathered in the commission to this effect, debated about the regression experienced in the social aspect by Latin America with the return to power of the right in some countries of the region.
