Luanda, Apr 29 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban clinic Meditex showed its scientific potential to increase the island’s support for the development of health care in Angola.
During 2018 the Meditex Scientific Conference, Cuban and Angolan specialists showed their experiences in this country through 51 research projects, 26 of which are based on case studies.
There is enough academic potential to achieve better results, said Meditex Clinical Director Iván Rodríguez, who in 2014 was a member of the Cuban brigade Henry Reeve that fought Ebola in West Africa.
For the general director of the clinic, Irma Mercedes Tamburell, the objective is to generate more knowledge, skills and aptitudes, always in favor of life and health, and noted the high professional level of the Cuban collaborators.
During the session at the Aníbal de Melo Press Center, the National Director of Health, Isilda Maria Noves, assured that Cubans have been fundamental in the development of public health in Angola.
