Sancti Spiritus, Cuba, Nov 27 (Prensa Latina) The Management of State-owned Agricultural Lands workshop, organized by the University of Sancti Spiritus (Uniss) and taught by German and Cuban specialists, was held here today to promote the exchange of experiences between the two countries.

The workshop, running until tomorrow, seeks to become a platform for future cooperation in the agricultural field between Uniss and Bodenverwertungs-und-verwaltungs GmbH (BVVG), a German State-owned company in charge of land management.

Edelvys Bravo, director of International Relations of Uniss, told Prensa Latina that this is the first meeting held by that German company and Uniss in an attempt to boost deeper cooperation ties in the future.

She said that the objective is to share varied experiences between the two parties, particularly on the issue of land management and the use of renewable energies in rural areas.

On the German side the representatives are Stefan Schulz, manager of BVVG and Katja Dells, director of BVVG International Adviser Office, while the Cuban representation includes Uniss and State-owned companies from the Ministry of Agriculture (Minagri).
