
Malabo, Apr 8 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Ambassador Zaid Malluly Diaz presented her credentials to the President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema, diplomatic sources informed on Friday.
According to a tweet from the Cuban Embassy in Malabo, the ceremony took place on Thursday at the People’s Palace (the government headquarters), where they exchanged views on the historic ties that unite the two peoples.
Diaz’s appointment took place in November 2021, along with Havana’s diplomatic representatives in France, Germany, Finland, Belarus, Greece and Ethiopia.
A law graduate from the University of Havana, Diaz was the director of Consular Affairs and Cubans Residents Abroad at the Foreign Ministry.
She was previously on mission at the United Nations headquarters in New York and was Cuba’s consul general in Madrid, Spain.
