Cuba, Venezuela Foreign Ministers Meet in New York

Caracas, Oct 31(Prensa Latina) Cuba”s foreign ministers Bruno Rodriguez and Venezuela”s Jorge Arreaza confirmed today the close relations between their two countries during a meeting in the US city of New York.

Through his account on the social network Twitter, Arreaza talked about the meeting, in which, were ratified the relations of brotherhood, solidarity and cooperation between the two nations.

‘We share with the brother Cuban counterpart, Bruno Rodríguez. Venezuela and Cuba, unbreakable unity, ‘he wrote.

The meeting also addressed the issue of the right of peoples to their sovereignty and the anti-imperialist struggle, the Venezuelan Foreign Affairs Ministry explained later in a note.

According to the statement, the two foreign ministers also rejected the unilateral and coercive actions of the United States against Cuba and Venezuela.

The meeting was part of Rodriguez’s activities in New York, prior to the vote on November 1 of a new draft resolution on the need to end the US blockade against Cuba in the General Assembly of the United Nations.

In the US city, Rodriguez also attended the IV Meeting of Cuban Residents in the United States in Defense of National Sovereignty and Against the Blockade, where he announced new immigration measures that favor both residents in the Caribbean nation and those who emigrated from her.
