Cuba, Türkiye express willingness to increase bilateral cooperation

Ankara, Dec 5 (Prensa Latina) Esteban Lazo, President of the Cuba´s National Assembly of People’s Power (ANPP), held on Monday a meeting with Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Türkiye´s Foreign Minister, where both leaders reaffirmed the willingness to strengthen bilateral relations.

At the meeting, both sides expressed their commitment to continue enhancing economic relations and interparliamentary cooperation, especially in mutual interest fields, according to a press release.

During his first-day stay in Ankara, Lazo also held a meeting with Deputy Akif Çağatay Kılıç, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye.

The meeting revealed mutual interest in boosting cooperation projects in various sectors and in the strategic role of the legislative bodies in view to promoting and making each initiative much more effective.
