Cuba to present impact of learning program in Education 2015

Ena Elsa Velázquez, Minister of Education, said in Havana that the International Pedagogy Congress 2015, scheduled for later this month, some nations will present the benefits achieved from Cuban learning program Yo si puedo.

Although he did not specify the number of attendees to the meeting, told the Cuban News Agency said that foreign teachers do not come only as spectators, but also to present the results of their work and share experiences like the aforementioned method, aimed to teach reading and writing.

The wide interest aroused among foreign professionals Pedagogy 2015 is an example of the achievements of the Cuban education, through solidarity has contributed to the eradication of illiteracy in different regions, and the formation of masters and doctors of science, said the owner the Ministry of Education.

He recalled that at the beginning of these meetings, the main countries represented were mainly from Latin America and the Caribbean; however, currently there are teachers in Africa, Europe and even from distant countries like Timor Leste, New Zealand and Australia, said.

The Congress will be held from 26 to 30 January at the Havana´s Convention Center, and previously at events held at the municipal level and provincial papers that represent Cuba were selected.

The Minister commented on the importance of the meetings conducted at each school, and stressed that this is where all teachers have the opportunity to present their teaching styles, the results of their scientific research and everyday teaching practice.

The organizing committee of the event reported that the meeting for the unity of educators is a substantial element to further promote integration between our countries, exchange experiences and strengthen collaboration.

At the International Congress Pedagogy 2015 also evaluate issues related to science education through current challenges and the thought of José Martí and Fidel Castro in educational work.

Vocational training and guidance, integration school, family and community, and information technology and communications in education, jobs will be discussed at the forum.
