Cuba to host International Meeting on Spare Parts

HAVANA, Cuba, May 20 (acn) Manufacturing spare parts, equipments and parts for industrial plants will be one of the topics of the First Metalworking International Congress to be held on June 26 and 27 in this city.

That meeting is part of the First Convention and Exhibition of Cuban Industry (CubaIndustria-2014), and the participants can appreciate the development of this vital economic branch and the new technological advances.
One purpose of the event is to encourage foreign investment in Cuban industry, in order to increase yields and economic efficiency in the production process, Carmen Herrara, vice president of the Iron and Steel Mechanics Industry Business Group (GESIME by its Spanish acronym), told reporters.
It is also an opportunity for attendees to identify new business opportunities with Cuba that foster the creation of joint ventures, partnerships and joint production agreements.
Issues related to the design of industrial equipment, welding, smelting, cutting, forming, machining parts, heat treatment, among others will be discussed in debates and professional exchanges.
As part of the program it is scheduled a commercial fair in which will be exhibited accessories, parts, components, equipments and technologies used in various sectors of production and services.
CubaIndustria-2014 will be attended by representatives of companies, universities and national and foreign research centers linked to this sector.
