Cuba to hold 2nd International Congress on Science and Education

Havana, Jun 8 (Prensa Latina) Cuba will host the 2nd International Congress: Science and Education, an event that will show Cuba’s results regarding the relation between research and good practices.

Over 1,600 professionals from 13 nations will participate in this congress, slated from June 13 to 17 in this capital, the president of the organizing committee, Silvia Navarro, said at the Central Institute of Pedagogical Sciences.

Under the slogan “Researching and innovating: 2030 agenda,” the congress seeks to promote scientific-pedagogical exchange on topics that are priority lines of research for Cuba and the world, Navarro said at a press conference.

It will also consolidate strategic alliances for the training of professionals from Cuba and the region.

Navarro explained that the school is still that place where the comprehensive formation of children and teenagers is fostered, and the participation of all sectors and factors of society is becoming more and more essential.

Navarro commented that the school is the healthy and safe place for useful learning that will be useful for a lifetime, and everything must take place there in a positive, favorable and stimulating emotional environment.

Teachers must be increasingly prepared to face these challenges, that is why we must conduct their training from science, explain and socialize best practices and identify where they should deepen, she pointed out.
