Cuba to continue strengthening relations with China, says Díaz-Canel

Havana, Aug 2 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermudez on Tuesday assured his country and China will continue strengthening both historic friendship and cooperation ties.

On Twitter, the Cuban leader also considered that China will continue “the peaceful development pathway and will always be a world peace builder.”

Díaz-Canel thus made reference to what was on Monday expressed by the Chinese ambassador in Havana Ma Hui during a ceremony in tribute to the 95th anniversary of the People’s Liberation Army (EPL).

The ceremony, which on the Cuban side was presided over by Vice President of the Republic of Cuba Salvador Valdés Mesa and FAR Minister Army Corps Gen. Álvaro López Miera, the Chinese diplomat also highlighted the relations between the two countries.

In this regard, Hui stressed that “we will work together to strengthen relations between the two Armies; we will continue cooperation in several fields and face global challenges hand in hand in order to make due contribution to joint construction of a community of human destinies”.
