Cuba, the Maldives reach agreement to strengthen medical cooperation

Havana, Dec 9 (Prensa Latina) Cuba and the Maldives have reached an agreement in the attempt to expand medical collaboration between both nations, Cuba´s Public Health Ministry (MINSAP, in Spanish) reported Thursday.

According to MINSAP Minister José Ángel Portal and Shah Abdulla Mahir, minister of state of Ministry of Health of Maldives, signed the agreement in sending a medical brigade to the Maldives.

A Maldivian delegation is currently paying a visit to Havana, with the purpose of strengthening ties with Cuba´s health system.

As part of the program, visitors toured the Hermanos Ameijeiras Hospital, La Pradera International Health Center, Central Unit for Medical Cooperation and other health institutions.
