Cuba thanked the Dominican Republic for its solidarity aid

Havana, Sep 1 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez on Wednesday thanked the government of the Dominican Republic for its gesture of solidarity, which sent more than 12 tons of aid for the fight against Covid-19 to Cuba.

‘Our sincere gratitude to the Government of the Dominican Republic for the donation of sanitary material and medicines,’ the foreign minister posted on his Twitter account.

He also said that it is a reflection of the historical ties of brotherhood between the two nations.

The cargo composed of thousands of masks, medicines such as Acetaminophen, Amoxicillin, Citirizine, vitamins, as well as antibacterial gel and isopropyl alcohol, all valued at 551,458 dollars is already in the port of the eastern Santiago de Cuba province.

Another important batch of supplies arrived in the country by air, collected by the Maximo Gomez Association of Cuban residents, by the Dominican Solidarity Campaign with Cuba and the State Mission of the island.
