Havana, Nov 23 (Prensa Latina) The 7th International Rehabilitation Congress Cuba 2017 will begin on November 27 in this capital with a varied scientific program and wide international participation, the organizers confirmed today.
The president of the organizing committee, Jorge Luis González, confirmed the participation of some 300 experts from Cuba and other countries, with great prominence in Latin America and Europe.
The specialist said that the official opening will be on the November 29, after two days of pre-congress courses.
He added that the 3rd International Symposium on Medical Hydrology will be held at the same time.
According to the doctor, discussions will take place in a wide range of topics because the specialty is related to almost all other branches of medicine.
Rodríguez, also president of the Cuban Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, said that some of these topics will be new career technologies, neurological rehabilitation, oncology patients, sexuality, reproductive health, ozone therapy, among others.
In addition, he confirmed that the training of human resources and administration in rehabilitation will be another of the topics to be addressed by the participants.
The doctor said that the regional advisor on Disability and Rehabilitation of the World Health Organization (WHO), Armando Vázquez, along with the president of the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ISPRM) Walter Frontera are among the confirmed foreign lecturers.
