Havana, Jul 12 (Prensa Latina) Of the 276 children under 20 diagnosed in Cuba with Covid-19, 250 (90.6 percent) have recovered, said Dr. Francisco Durán, national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health.
In the usual morning press conference to update data on the epidemiological situation in this country, the specialist reiterated that so far all minors have evolved satisfactorily, without complications.
Among the six new cases confirmed in the last 24 hours, a two-year-old girl, resident in Centro Habana municipality of this capital, was reported.
The little girl was asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis, but was the contact of a previously confirmed case.
The day before, 3,106 diagnostic tests were studied throughout the national territory to detect the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and six samples were positive.
This country accumulates 205 thousand 120 tests carried out and a total of two thousand 426 confirmed cases, of them 79 active (78 with stable clinical evolution and one in serious condition).
So far, 87 deaths are reported, two evacuated to their countries and two thousand 258 recovered patients.
All the Cuban provinces (except Havana) and the special municipality of Isle of Youth are in the second stage of recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic, after the positive results in over three months confronting this epidemiological crisis.
The Cuban capital continues in phase one of the lack of confinement, since it maintains the highest incidence rate in the last 10 days.
Health authorities insist on compliance with control and protection measures to prevent the spread of the disease and the reappearance of outbreaks of infection.
