Cuba Might Have a Place in World Riding Competitions

Havana, Feb 10 (Prensa Latina) Because of the 7th auction on horses used for world riding competitions, scheduled in the Cuban capital from February 11 to 13, experienced experts are visiting the island and are already highlighting how well taken care the horses are.

The organizers of this auction reminded to reporters Wednesday that French expert Jean Phillipe Camboulives, a representative of the International Equestrian Federation (IEF) recently toured Cuba and exchanged with Cuban breeders, sportmen and sport authorities.

Camboulives is part of the IEF Solidarity Committee, created and working for 4 years now, and its mission is to evaluate the development of the sport in Latin America and other parts of the planet.

Considered one of the best experts of the world, it means good help for the local sport, insisted the experts of the company of protection of Flora and Fauna of Cuba.

This visitor served as coach for the national teams of France, Russia, and Ukraine, as well as he prepared riders of Guatemala with regard to the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2011, and collaborate in South Africa for the World of Lexington, United States (2010).

Camboulives was for a week from January 28 in Cuba due to claim of assistance that the national Equestrian Federation asked the global instance, in order to return to riding with international level.

Jean-Philippe qualified performance of this sport on the island, and care and the production of horse exercise surprised him.

He said that with a bit of luck and work, the young riders of this country could form a team that participates in the upcoming Pan American or Central American Games.

He pointed out that uncertainty lies not in the fitness of the athletes, but the possibility of the National Federation to maintain a structure that allows you to move forward with a group of horses between six and eight years, to the rhythm of training and competition.

The technical potential of horses here allows the inclusion in those events, said the visitor cited by the organizers of the auction.

Athletes who practice at the ranch sugar are very young, all under 18, allowing the prognosis of inclusion in events around the world.

Camboulives also stated that if major buyers come to Cuba, it clearly is at the level of the Cuban breeders and their horses.
