
Garcia pointed out that this depends on how many investors come to the game, being interested by the Cuban tourist industry, producing the annual arrival of at least, 12 million visitors, to place as second, after Mexico, in the region.
He talked to the Cuban and international press Tuesday at the Melia Cohiba Hotel in the Cuban capital.
Garcia announced that an event called SAHIC 2017 will be celebrated during May 15 and 16, ‘to meet and network with the leading industry players in the island nation: hotel chains and groups, investors, banks, mutual funds, developers, architects, and interior designers, regional government representatives and other decision makers of the industry.’
SAHIC 2017 may receive 250 hotel directors, officials and high level tourism specialists, all of them interested in the Cuban tourist market.
