Paris, Jul 12 (Prensa Latina) Cuban embassy, Cuban residents and French who support Cuba on Tuesday reaffirmed their commitment to defend peace on the island as a conquest of its Revolution and condemned attempts to disturb it.
At the headquarters of the Cuban embassy, dozens of people gathered with Cuban flags and banners to support the Revolution, in the context of the anniversary of the riots and violent acts promoted by the United States that tried to overthrow it.
On July 11 and 12, 2021, there was an attempted coup that was defeated by our people, destabilizing actions with which the US tried to take advantage of the discontent caused by the stifling policy of the economic, commercial and financial blockade, Ambassador Otto Vaillant, stressed.
Alongside Cuban Ambassador to UNESCO, Yahima Esquivel, the diplomat stressed that peace and efforts to get ahead prevail in Cuba.
Cuba needs the unity and contribution of all Cubans to overcome challenges and difficulties, he noted.
Vaillant thanked the solidarity with his country in France, which was ratified at the ceremony attended by representatives of the France Cuba and Cuba Si France associations and the Coordinator of Cuban Residents.
On behalf of Cuba Si France, its president, Charly Bouhana, reiterated the call for a mobilization in support of the island on July 23 in the emblematic Republic Square.
According to Bouhana, that day Cuba’s friends in France will once again raise their voices against the US blockade, a policy that he repudiated.
