Cuba Improves Living Conditions of Top-Class Athletes

Havana, Nov 22 (Prensa Latina) A new residential accomodates now top-class athletes in Cuba, including potential candidates for the Olympic podium in Rio de Janeiro-2016.

The Cuban Deputy Vice President, Miguel Diaz-Canel, inaugurated a building saturday with capacity for 36 students of the Cerro Pelado school, historic reserve of champions.

The new facility improves conditions for the the rest of athletes, immersed in the preparation of the forthcoming Rio-2016, in disciplines such as judo and wrestling.

The facility adjoins the National School of Gymnastics, another recent construction which has already begun to bear fruit, as the two world medals won by Manrique Larduet.
