Lisbon, Feb 28.- Cuba waits for an increase of Portuguese visitors this year supported with the rise in chartered flights and new destinations, a diversity and growth exhibited today at the Tourism Fair in Lisbon.
The director of the tourist information office of Cuba for Portugal and Spain, Dulce Maria Sánchez, said to Prensa Latina that after the recovery of direct chartered flights in 2014 concluded the decreasing tendency registered as result of the European economic crisis.
Also during the Fair of Lisbon, the ambassadress of Cuba in Portugal, Johana Tablada, did a presentation of the proposals of the island in a forum organized with the Institute of Promotion and Development of Latin America in Portugal.
From July, she added, instead of a direct weekly flight how it used to be in 2014, it will be two, one to Varadero and the other to Cayo Coco, at the time that four frequencies are opened by Air Europa from Oporto and Lisbon, with a stopover in Madrid.
