Havana, Jun 7 (Prensa Latina) Cuban websites will be able to show their usefulness and innovation at the 5th Cuban Culture event in digital media, to be held from next November 11 to 14. Organized by websites Cubarte and that of the Ministry of Culture, the cyber event pretends to promote debate and Exchange of experiences among the Cuban digital media in the cultural field.
To interact in a viable way, the event organizers will form a scientific pool in which topics such as digital journalism and blogs will be discussed, as well as the use of digital technologies in music and audiovisual production, among others.
Idelsis Gallardo, Cubarte’s deputy director, emphasized on the need presented by the digital support of any artistic project, in particular those involving music.
It is necessary to have an active feedback between the artist and the internet, as a cultural project is no longer conceived if it does not use the most recent information Technologies, she explained.
As has been usual practice in previous editions, this year will be granted the Digital Palm, a prize aimed to promote the quality and fresh ideas through healthy competition
The term to present contending papers and audiovisuals will close next September 26.
