Cuba continues to be an example to be followed, Venezuela’s FM states

Caracas, Jan 18 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil, said on Thursday that Cuba continues to be an example to be followed in the struggle against the oppression of US imperialism over the peoples of the South.

On his X account, the head of Venezuelan diplomacy noted that it was a pleasure to greet his Cuban counterpart, Bruno Rodríguez, in the context of the Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NOAL), which is being held in Kampala, Uganda.

Gil described the Cuban Foreign Minister as a “great friend” and “a worthy representative of Cuba” in defense of just causes around the world.

“Sister Cuba continues to be an example to be followed in the struggle against the oppression of Northern imperialism over our peoples,” Gil added.

Speaking at the Ministerial Committee of the Non-Aligned Movement on Palestine on Wednesday, the head of Venezuelan diplomacy ratified his country’s historic position of principle in support of the just cause of the Palestinian people.

We will never get tired of defending the right of the “brotherly Palestinian people” to exist in a free, independent and sovereign State, with East Jerusalem as its capital and inside the pre-1967 borders, the high diplomat affirmed.
