Baracoa, Cuba, Oct 27 (Prensa Latina) The hotel infrastructure in Baracoa is ready to start the high tourist season on November 1st. Osmany Perez, a marketing specialist at the Ministry of Tourism in Guantanamo, told the media that despite being hit by two tropical storms in less than a year, Baracoa, a tourist resort in the Cuban easternmost province, is ready to welcome those willing to enjoy its natural beauty.
He said that although repair works are still being carried out in some places, all facilities are expected to start services next week.
Perez said that thanks to the investment process carried out in this region after the onslaught by hurricanes Matthew and Irma and the recovery actions taken before the International Nature Tourist Event TURNAT 2017, Baracoa is in better conditions to host this season.
Perez said that the municipality of Maisi, also in Guantanamo, will start this season with two new facilities, Hotel Faro and Villa Punta de Maisi, built after the hurricane Matthew.
The natural landscapes of the two sites offer great choices for those fond of ecotourism.
