Cuba attends Ukraine International Travel and Tourism Exhibition

Kiev, May 12 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Ambassador to Ukraine Natacha Diaz spoke on the island’s leisure options at a round table on occasion of the Ukraine International Travel and Tourism Exhibition, UITT 2021, diplomatic sources reported on Wednesday.

During the event taking place at the Kiev Exhibition Center, Diaz referred to Cuba’s preparations for the upcoming tourist season and its expectations as a popular destination to develop ecotourism.

Diaz and Alberto Fuentes, responsible for Consular Affairs at the Cuban Embassy in Ukraine, talked about the opportunities Cuba will offer to travelers as a country free of Covid-19 in a near future.

They stressed that the Cuban Government hopes to complete the vaccination process for the island’s entire population by late 2021.

During the round table, the opening of borders for the countries attending the Fair was also analyzed, and the security protocols facing the current challenges imposed by Covid-19 were discussed.

Participants in the UITT 2021, which concludes on Thursday, May 13, were optimistic about the development of the tourism sector as of late this year.
