Cuba and Luxembourg sign air services deal

Luxembourg, Apr 22 (Prensa Latina) The Governments of Cuba and Luxembourg on Thursday signed here a cooperation deal in the civil aviation sector, aimed at boosting bilateral relations, Cuban Embassy said on Thursday.

According to the diplomatic representation in Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Union, the instrument was signed at the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works of the Grand Duchy, by its head, François Bausch, and Cuban Ambassador Norma Goicochea.

The agreement consists of 23 items and is framed in the objectives of both countries to promote their mutual relations in the field of aviation, contribute to ensure the highest degree of safety and security in international air services and boost economic and trade relations, referred the statement.

The Cuban side explained that the deal will come into force once the procedures are completed, and that it is the 13th of its kind signed with European countries.

After signing the agreement, Goicochea and Bausch discussed various issues, including the impact of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade on transportation, an issue addressed by the diplomat.
