Cuba and Laos corroborate deep-rooted bilateral ties

Vientiane, Sep 7 (Prensa Latina) The visit to Laos by Cuba’s First Deputy Foreign Minister Gerardo Peñalver corroborated the deep roots that sustain more than 50 years of bilateral cooperation ties.

The Cuban ambassador to Laos, Enna Viant, described as a memorable closing the tribute paid by Peñalver and the delegation that accompanied him to the Laotian National Hero, Kaysone Phomvihane, in the museum that bears his name.

It was a reunion with history and we ratify the deep roots that treasure more than 50 years of diverse collaboration links, strengthened since the establishment of diplomatic relations (in 1974), appreciated the diplomat.

Previously, Peñalver and his counterpart Bounleua Phandanouvong signed the 2022-2025 Collaboration Plan between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, which will also help strengthen the friendly relations between the two parties.
