Cuba: 15 people remain hospitalized after Matanzas fire

Havana, Aug 25 (Prensa Latina) Fifteen patients are still hospitalized due to burns from the fire that occurred several days ago at the Supertanker Base in Matanzas, western Cuba.

The official report from the Public Health Ministry (Minsap) says that 115 patients were discharged from hospitals, including 109 men and six women.

Four people are in critical condition, three are seriously ill and eight are in care.

The incident occurred on the night of Friday, August 5, during a storm, when a bolt of lightning hit crude oil tank 52 at the Supertanker Base, located in the industrial zone of the city of Matanzas, capital of the province of the same name.

The flames devastated four tanks with a capacity of 50,000 cubic meters each.
