Minas, Camagüey, Jul 24.- A new toil stage begins in Minas, district in the north of Camagüey, which received today the provincial celebration of the National Rebellion´s Day (July 26), in “26 de Noviembre” square , marked by the artistic talent of the municipality.
The ceremony was leaded by the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in Camagüey, Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca, and deputy Elizabeth González Cárdenas, president of the Provincial Assembly of People’s Power. In it the main
authorities of the territory received the flag that certifies its vanguard condition in the fraternal competition for the historical event, and there were recognized entities and organisms that excelled in the stage previous to this celebration.
Some of these entities were Education, Public Health, Culture and Sports, the Basic Electric Organization, the system of Pharmacies, the Company of Telecommunications, stockpiling, Building Materials Industry, Justice, the Provincial
Center of Patrimony, the community broadcaster and the Provincial Direction of Radio.
When summarizing the commemoration, Tapia Fonseca congratulated the Minas´ residents and the people that stood out in the execution of social benefit works in the production and services spheres, concerning this date of revolutionary rejoicing and patriotic commitment.
The National Rebellion´s Day is celebrated in Cuba on July 26, to bring to mind the assault to the barracks Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, which took place this day of 1953 and was led by Fidel Castro.This marked the beginning of the final libertarian struggles period in the Island.(Radio Cadena Agramonte)
