Business Forum between Cuba and Mexico

Havana, Jun 4 (Prensa ) The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment (Mincex) is promoting today the participation in the Cuba-Mexico Business Forum to be held on the 14th and 15th of this month.

Those interested in participating in the event should request registration to the Organizing Committee through the e-mail address forocubamexico@mincex.gob.cu, the portfolio informed through its Twitter.

The event, to be held at the Nationa Hotel, will be focused on

the agri-food, biotechnology and pharmaceutical, tourism, renewable energies and cultural industries. The Forum will be a space to enable businessmen from both countries to hold bilateral meetings, exchange ideas on investment attraction challenges and to promote Cuban exportable funds, with the participation of the different economic assets of the country.

Mexico is an important trading partner for Cuba due to its proximity to the country, its agro-industrial development, its technological advances in machinery, its progress in knowledge and its trade policies.

An Economic Complementation Agreement (ECA No. 51) is in force between the two countries, it allows both countries to have tariff preferences for the import of various goods. This meeting is organized by the Mincex, the Center for the Promotion of Foreign Trade and Investment Promotion, the Cuban Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy of Mexico in Havana.
