Business Fair Ends in Cuba

Havana, May 25 (Prensa Latina) The IV Business Fair ends today after intense days of exchange between the country”s economic actors to facilitate the management of Cuban companies.

The Expocuba fairground opened the door to the event since May 10 and involved 338 entities and business groups in the state sector, 22 joint ventures, 12 non-agricultural cooperatives, five self-employed workers and other institutions.

During the meeting was experienced the increasing importance given by both claimants and producers to the conciliation of their offers and products to guarantee the efficient development of the country’s economy, which was seen in the increase and variety of the entities that attended the event.

Among the elements that attracted greater interest in the fair was the work in function of the development of the Economy Plan 2018 in order to increase the efficiency in the production and services, all aimed at the substitution of imports and increase exports.

Other priorities include the establishment of development and infrastructure programs, meeting the demands of tourism, producing and importing food, and qualitatively and quantitatively increasing the supply in the retail network, among others.

The IV Business Fair became a space in which experts from different economic disciplines exchanged, made conferences, workshops and, above all, facilitated business management.
