British solidarity supports Cuba’s efforts against Covid-19

Havana, Feb 11 (Prensa Latina) A shipment of supplies for the fight against Covid-19 arrived in Cuba sent by the Solidarity Campaign (CSC) in the United Kingdom, the Cuban Foreign Ministry website reported today.

These are more than 37 thousand ampoules of the muscle relaxant Atracurio for patients with mechanical ventilation.

This is the fifth shipment of medical supplies that has arrived on the Caribbean island since April 2021 with financing from the CSC, to support efforts to combat the pandemic.

Before, solidarity from the European nation sent to Cuba parts and pieces for pulmonary ventilators, as well as supplies that were used in the clinical trial of the Cuban Abdala vaccine, known as Ismaelillo, carried out in children and adolescents aged between two and 18 years. .

In the last two decades, the CSC has raised funds to finance emergency projects and support the Cuban health sector, as well as supply school materials and others, reported the Cubaminrex site.
