Belarus condemns US blockade against Cuba at the UN

United Nations, Sep 27 (Prensa Latina) Belarus expressed its condemnation of the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the US, including the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on Cuba for almost 60 years.

The language of unilateral coercive measures, which has no place in the UN, remains a reality with respect to several countries, including Cuba, indicated Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei.

On speaking at the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, Makei condemned the artificial barriers to access the World Trade Organization.

The minister expressed alarm at the fact that the world’s two leading economies are embroiled in a trade war that only serves to prevent problem solving and increase the risks of a real war.
