
Baku, Dec 22 (Prensa Latina) The new ambassador appointed by Azerbaijan to Cuba, Ruslan Rzayev, visited the diplomatic mission of the Caribbean island in this city, where he was received by his counterpart Carlos Valdes.
Valdés told Prensa Latina that during the meeting they reviewed the positive progress of bilateral relations and reiterated their mutual interest in boosting ties between the two countries.
They also exchanged views on developments in Cuba and the rest of Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as on issues of mutual interest in the multilateral spheres, especially on Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement.
Both diplomats agreed on the significant fact that in the year of the 30th anniversary of the relations between Baku and Havana, for the first time an Azerbaijani ambassador has been appointed with residence in Cuba.
