
Canberra, Aug 1 (Prensa Latina) Friends of Cuba in Australia participated in the international day against the blockade imposed by the United States on the Caribbean nation and demanded the end of the illegal U.S. policy, diplomatic sources stressed.
In the city of Perth, capital of the state of Western Australia, the show of support for the struggle of the Cuban people against the economic war of the U.S. government took place, the embassy of the island in Canberra stressed.
According to the diplomatic legation, the Australians made a tour of the central Elizabeth Quay Bridge in that city to demonstrate their rejection of the unjust blockade against Cuba.
In addition, they ratified their solidarity and support for the island which suffers from the despicable policy, intensified by Washington in a very difficult context marked by the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic and the impact of the global economic crisis, the diplomatic sources pointed out.
