Buenos Aires, Jun 3 (Prensa Latina) The International Federation of Writers for Freedom (FIEL) strongly condemned the attacks on Cuban artists and intellectuals who defend their country and government.
Recently, the Buena Fe duo was attacked by individuals who tried to prevent their concerts in Spain and right-wing extremists boycotted the participation of writer Nancy Morejon as honorary president at the Poetry Market in Paris, France.
These fascist attacks are not isolated events, but a reflection of the radicalization of extreme right-wing groups at the service of decadent and dying imperialism in its war for survival, FIEL said in a statement.
We not only repudiate these actions, but we make ourselves available in the fight for the peoples’ self-determination, the Federation added.
It also expressed its willingness to confront all kinds of external interference and “combat imperialism, which destroys all that is human.”
