Bremen, Germany, Jul 17.- The exhibition of paintings “Yo me muero como vivi” (I Shall Die as I Lived), by one of the five Cubans being held prisoners in the USA for fighting terrorism, was opened today at the City Hall in Neue Vahr urbanization, in northern German city of Bremen.Thilman Rethelmen, German artist and organizer of the event, stated that, “in each of Antonio’s watercolors, we observe human sensibility and humility that characterizes him.”
The exhibition was supported by organizations in solidarity with Cuba in Bremen and the Germany’s Network in Solidarity with the Caribbean island (Netzwerk Cuba).
On the other hand, Hector Corcho Morales, in charge of cultural affairs at the Cuban embassy in Germany, thanked the organizers this possibility after opening the exhibit. The diplomat stated that the display has been touring many German cities since April, when it was opened in Berlin.
Comprised of fifteen watercolors, it presents the suffering of the five Cubans during those 15 years of unjust condemnation, and contribute to spread the truth about the case of those men, while stresses the author’s artistic qualities.(Prensa Latina)
