Acosta Dance Ballet to Perform at Art Festival in Norway

Havana, Jun 2 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Acosta Dance Ballet company will perform tomorrow in the Norwegian city of Bergen, as part of the International Festival of Arts that takes place in that country, confirmed today its communication team.

The presentation at the Grieg Concert Hall is the last of a tour by several European venues, which began on May 20 in Poland and that also included Russia.

As the dancing said, its dancers will be accompanied by the British Royal Ballet Symphony Orchestra conducted by Paul Murphy.

The program includes pieces as ‘Crossing over the Niagara’, by Marianela Boán; Fauno, by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui; ‘There is Nothing Around’ by Goyo Montero and the version of Carmen de Carlos Acosta, who will dance the solo named ‘Two’ by British Russell Maliphant.

In Russia, several media highlighted the performance by the dance group in the 13th Anton Chejkov International Theater Festival, which stagings captivated the public.

According to the direction of the company, it is preparing conditions for ‘a new season that will be presented at Havana’s Alicia Alonso Great Theater in September, with important premieres and replacements’.
