Havana, Sep 25 (Prensa Latina) Experts from seven countries will meet in the 4th Forum of Entrepreneurs and Leaders in Information Technology (Felti 2019) that will take place in this capital starting today until the 27th, organizers reported.
Convened by the Information Technology and Communications Business Group (GEIC), more than 250 scientists, technicians and government representatives and international organizations from Canada, China, Colombia, Cuba, Spain, Mexico and Venezuela will participate in the event.
The forum is the opportunity to learn about applications and obtain solutions that contribute to the process of computerization of the Cuban society and insert the national industry into the international market, Héctor Rodríguez, general coordinator, told a press conference.
Hence the importance of the business round that will be held to show potential opportunities to foreign investors for collaboration in the field of computer science and communications in Cuba, he said.
On the other hand, Elizabeth García, acting director of Technological Development of the GEIC, told Prensa Latina that among the novelties of this edition, the e-government platform stands out, as a new way of accessing government services.
Another project that Cuba will present is the in-hospital digital clinical history, initiated in the capital’s Manuel Fajardo Hospital with the digitalization of those already existing documents and then begin its full use at the end of the year in greeting to the 500th anniversary of Havana.
It will also show the latest version of the platform for electronic trans-mobile commerce through which you can pay for electricity, gas and telephone services, send money orders, make bank transfers, recharge cell lines and serve as a payment gateway for the Virtual Store of the Cimex Corporation.
García also informed that, in keeping with the current situation in the country, Tecnomática will present several solutions for the automatic control and commercialization of fuels through sensors installed in the vehicles that transport them.
The Meliá Habana Hotel will host the Forum where the Latinatec Prize will be awarded, recognition to organizations, companies and people that contribute to the growth of knowledge about the Information Technology and Communications (ICT) industry.
