Havana, Dec 15 (Prensa Latina) Accredited institutions and organizations in Cuba will today announce the winners of the collateral awards of the 38th International Festival of the New Latin American Cinema.
Representatives of more than a dozen organizations will judge 18 feature films, 22 short and medium length films, 18 first films, 26 documentaries, 27 animated films, 25 unpublished scripts and 24 posters in competition, to select the winners.
Some of the institutions involved in delivering awards are the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Radio Havana Cuba, the Martin Luther King Memorial Center and the Association of Audiovisual and Radio Media at the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC).
The Pablo de la Torriente Brau Cultural Center, the Cultural Circle at the Association of Cuban Journalists (UPEC), Casa de las Americas, the Network of Cuban Women Filmmakers and the Latin American and Caribbean Film and Audiovisual Website at the New Latin American Cinema Foundation.
These and other organizations will announce the winning entries and the members of the jury will present the judging criteria.
