Vicepresident of Uganda visits Cuba

Havana, Feb 10 (Prensa Latina) The vice-president of the Republic of Uganda, Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi has begun an official visit to Cuba, during which he will hold official talks with his Cuban counterpart, Salvador Valdes Mesa.

According to the web site of the Cuban Ministry of foreign Affairs, the visitor’s program includes besides visits to places of scientific and cultural centers.

Kiwanuka Ssekandi was received on Sunday by the vice-Minister of Foreign Relations, Anayansi Rodriguez, who stressed the bonds of friendship between Cuba and Uganda.

The Cuban diplomat Tweeted she had received Edward Kiwanuka at the Jose Marti International Airport, welcomed him warmly, and expressed the wish for the visit to strengthen the existing ties.
