Paris, Dec 29 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela’s Ambassador to France Michel Mujica demanded this Sunday that the European Union (EU) respect International Law, which violates by acknowledging the self-proclaimed Interim President Juan Guaido.

In an interview with Prensa Latina leading up to the end of 2019, the diplomat rejected interference in the internal affairs of his country, a crusade led by the US government with its open regime change policy, which seeks the overthrow of the Bolivarian Revolution.

The EU and its Commission have to think over their relations with Latin America and in particular with Venezuela, which remains steady in the defense of its sovereignty thanks to the forged unity of the government, the people and the Armed Forces, he specified.

According to Mujica, no figure in International Law accepts what the community bloc has done in clear subordination to US hostility, the recognition of an imposed leader as Guaido.

That person only deserves the alias ‘puppet in charge,’ who has no support in the population, not even within the opposition ranks, he warned.

For the Venezuelan ambassador, it is time for good relations among countries and talks to resolve differences.

We, Mujica pointed out, will continue resisting and engaged in solving the economic problems arising from the US blockade and sanctions, which we are gradually overcoming.
