“With this tour through countries in Africa, the Middle East and Europe, we continue to diversify our international relations, receiving all the support and solidarity of these nations,” Arreaza said.
Arreaza said that during his visit to the southern region of Africa, several leaders expressed support for the legitimate Government of Venezuela, led by President Nicolás Maduro.
In addition to this, he indicated a Venezuelan delegation will soon travel to South Africa to talk about an agreement he discussed with President
Cyril Ramaphosa in the fields of mining, agriculture and pharmaceuticals.
Arreaza also announced that in Lebanon he met with President Michel Aoun, from whom he also received support and solidarity from during his trip. The occasion was to discuss the possibility of strengthening their cooperation and bilateral relations.
He said that during his meeting with the Syrian Foreign Minister, Wallid Al-Moallem, he discussed the possibility of developing cooperation in the fields of air transport, agriculture, and pharmaceuticals; this cooperation will prove beneficial for the people of both nations.
Arreaza cited the words of the Syrian President, Bashar Al-Assad, who said that there is a “need to stop imperialism in time so that there is no eight-year war in Latin America like there is in Syria.”
He pointed out that several nations asked that international law be respected and that no country interfere in the internal relations of Venezuela. “With the financial blockade against Venezuela, they intend to isolate us, today, more than ever. We can say that Venezuela is isolated, nothing is further away than that,” he emphasized.
He asserted that the Venezuelan government is making “all efforts to work with all countries. The international community goes much further than the U.S. and it is not only the 50 countries that submit to their imperialism. “
The diplomat reiterated that Venezuela maintains its firm decision to continue its economic, military and political cooperation with Russia and Iran.
“Consider Russia as a great ally of the people in times of peace and aggression,” Arreaza added.
