Varadero, Cuba, Apr 24 (Prensa Latina) The Seventh edition of the Varadero Gourmet International Festival concludes today in this beach resort highlighting the traditional cookbook of Cuban cuisine, and efforts for a better service for tourist. After three days of discussions on the current gastronomy trends in the world, the potentials of Cuban dishes occupy today audience’s attention.
About 400 people from 11 countries, with 20 exhibitors of products such as beverages and food, point to a promising future for this Caribbean nation regarding cuisine, in order to transform the island’s landscape and attract many travelers to know the local cookbook.
Many experts debated on issues such as pastry, sauces, stale or household recipes, for tourists’ knowledge, and encourage this area enhances the travel industry in this country, which received more than three million visitors for the first time in 2014.
Tastings, talks, lectures, and demonstrations of different types grouped outstanding issues, including those associated to drinks.
Important beverages from the United Kingdom, Spain, and Italy, the Spanish sparkling wine Freixenet, an obliged presence in events of this kind in the country, non-sparkling wines and spirits, are also participated in this event.
