Havana, Nov 8 (Prensa Latina) The American Museum of Natural History of New York (AMNH) will open an exhibition on Cuban biodiversity on Monday, said Maritza Garcia, an official from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment of Cuba (Citma).
Garcia, also president of the Citma Environment Agency said in a press conference that within the current collaboration between Cuba and the United States, the AMNH will open from November 14th a temporary exhibition titled ‘Cuba’.
‘The AMNH has a long history of collaboration, mainly in research and training, with numerous Cuban institutions’, said Garcia.
She mentioned the National Museum of Natural History of Cuba (MNHNC), the University of Havana, the Cuban Society of Botany and the Company for the Protection of Flora and Fauna, amid others.
Garcia said that the exhibition was entirely set up with species of the AMNH, while Cuban specialists have cooperated to ensure the scientific update of the exhibition.
