Havana, Oct 13 (Prensa Latina) President Miguel Diaz-Canel evoked today Fidel Castro’s thought and his assertion that the US blockade against Cuba is an act of genocide.
On his Twitter account, the president quoted the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, who denounced more than once that the Washington blockade is against the Cuban people.
Fidel: ‘The blockade is cruel, it is hard, it is a measure imposed against the people, against men, women, children; the blockade is even an act of genocide,’ Diaz-Canel posted.
According to the Cuban Head of State, the Trump administration tightened the measures that aim to cripple the Cuban economy and bring about hardships to citizens.
Such a hostility policy has been tightened since the fight in Cuba against the Covid-19 pandemic, Havana denounced.
