US 2020 spending bill seeks to undermine Venezuela’s sovereignty

Caracas, Dec 19 (Prensa Latina) Executive Vice President Delcy Rodriguez on Wednesday rejected threats from US President Donald Trump against Venezuela, in an effort to undermine Bolivarian sovereignty through the inclusion of sums destined for Venezuela in the 2020 spending bill.

In a message on Twitter, Rodriguez noted that Venezuela rejects the destabilizing and interventionist package approved by the US Congress and contained in the 2020 Budget, which aims to support terrorist and destabilizing actions by Venezuela’s extremist opposition.

The vice president’s denunciation came after the two houses of the US Congress included a 400-million-dollar package for Venezuela in the 2020 spending bill to support opposition lawmaker Juan Guaido, which has been recognized by the United States and its allies as Venezuela’s interim president.
