U.S. Harps on Defamation Campaign against Venezuela

Caracas, Jun 12 (Prensa Latina) The US government is today harping on creating defamation campaigns about an allegedly humanitarian crisis in Venezuela so as to discredit the President Nicolás Maduro´s Cabinet, according to Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza.

The Venezuelan FM described the interventionist statements made on Tuesday by the US National Security Advisor, John Bolton, as absurd and perverse.

Quoted by international media outlets, the White House high-ranking official pointed out that there is an ‘unstable situation’ in today´s Venezuela, and he tried to insult the Bolivarian representative’s work team.

In this regard, Arreaza from his Twitter official page posted it did not seem strange that Bolton and other Washington leaders fail each step taken with respect to Venezuela. ‘He utterly ignores the reality of Venezuela. A man stuck in the anachronistic Cold War,’ he life-tweeted.

On that score, the Venezuelan FM once again condemned the US threats against the regional nations that fight for their independence – such as Cuba and Nicaragua – in response to the old Monroe Doctrine, against those who are seeking for progressive changes in the world.

‘By threatening Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua, @AmbJohnBolton turns to the 200-year Monroe Doctrine. He does not understand that the free peoples of Our America own their destiny, in the context of a multipolar world. He really needs an advisor in history! ‘Arreaza stressed.
