Berne, Sep 24 (Prensa Latina) The Vaud section of the Cuba-Switzerland Solidarity Association on Saturday announced some activities in support of Cuba, planned in Romandy and nationwide, including condemnation of the U.S. blockade.
In its monthly publication El Sol de Cuba, The Vaud -presided over by Michel Fleury- called for participation in different actions in coming October and November, which include tributes to the heroic guerrilla Ernesto Che Guevara and the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro. Likewise, it highlighted the celebration in mid-October in Solothurn of the forum “What Means for Peace”, meetings in Yverdon-les-Bains and the assembly of delegates of the Cuba-Switzerland Association, scheduled for early November.
The publication reiterates the call to hold on the 17th of each month to ask for the end of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba, which will take place in October in Yverdon-les-Bains and in November in Renens.
In September, members of the association unfurled banners at the Basel station calling for the end of aggressions and the economic war on Cuba, while expressing their love and solidarity with Cuba.
